Dr Congo forward Cedric Bakambu is eyeing a return to the national team.
In a recent interview, he said: “I still feel indebted to the selection of my country, after my participation in the African Cup in Côte d’Ivoire I’ve experienced the ups and downs, I had to step back and look at things differently, I’ve returned to a country that I knew better, unfortunately there were injuries, I feel good.
“I play regularly, I recovered from my problems, I am Focus to return to the national team and contribute, I have goals among which is better to finish the season, play the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, a great country, but also help the team so little to qualify for the World Cup.
“My relationship with the manager has always been good, just like others I’ve known before him, we talk often and he supports me in every situation, I was determined to return to the national team when I was feeling better, now everything is going well, I congratulated the team for qualification even though the last two matches have not been satisfactory, but the strength of this team lies in its collective, I am proud of them and I am giving my all to contribute.”
