Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, has announced the immediate dismissal of five commissioners as part of a major cabinet reshuffle.
In a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Samuel Jatau, the affected commissioners include Chrysanthus Dawam (Budget and Economic Planning), Obed Goselle (Science and Technology), Jamila Tukur (Tourism, Culture and Hospitality), Noel Nkup (Youth and Sports Development), and Sule Musa (Commerce and Industry).
The governor also appointed replacements, naming Joyce Ramnap, Sunday Alex, Slyvanus Dongtoe, Nicolas Bamnong, and Cornelius Doeyok as the new commissioners for the respective ministries.
Governor Mutfwang, further expressed appreciation to the outgoing commissioners for their contributions to the state and wished them success in their future endeavors.
Although the government did not provide specific reasons for the shake-up.
The newly appointed commissioners are expected to assume office immediately.
