Victor Boniface was on target in Bayer Leverkusen’s thrilling 2-2 draw against Werder Bremen on Saturday night.
The Nigeria international missed Leverkusen’s 1-1 draw at Brest in midweek after he was involved in a car crash last Sunday.
Boniface however returned with a bang netting the opening goal for Die Werkself on the half hour mark after he was set up by Jeremie Frimpong.
It was the forward’s sixth league goal of the season.
The 23-year-old was replaced by Patrick Schick 20 minutes from time.
His international teammate, Nathan Tella was an unused substitute for Leverkusen in the game.
