“I feel amazing,” he said at the time. “I feel really, really good, and support from the fans and everything has been really, really good.”
His battle began during the height of 1D mania. “The problem we had in the band—and I don’t blame anybody for this…But it feels to me like, when we were in the band, the best way to secure us, because of how big it got, was to just lock us in a room. And, of course, what is in the room? A minibar,” Liam shared. “So at a certain point, I thought, ‘Well, I’m going to have a party for one,’ and that just seemed to carry on throughout many years of my life.”
Throughuot, he’s been candid about his sobriety. “It was only until I saw myself after that I was like, ‘All right, I need to fix myself,'” he recalled in June 2021 when he said he was more than one month sober at the time. “It was like a few pictures of me on a boat and I’m all, like, bloated out, and I call it pills-and-booze face….My face was just like 10 times more than it is now. And I just didn’t like myself very much, so then I made a change.”
Unfortunately, the revelation meant that Tammy wouldn’t be able to schedule her surgery, as Dr. Rubin explained using nicotine products increases the risk of wound healing problems.
“So No. 1 we got to get you off the vapes completely, No. 2 the nutrition is really important,” he told her. “We got to get those numbers up. That’s going to take about two months minimum. So we can’t schedule the surgery now until we can get all these things worked out.”
Tammy did not take the news well. When asked about her nicotine use in an interview after her appointment, the reality star replied, “I don’t wanna talk about vaping.”
“I think I might need a five ‘cause I’m gonna flip. I’m pissed now,” she said before angrily leaving the room to hit her vape again. “I don’t give two s–ts about it.”

Mary Cosby continues to struggle with her son Robert Jr.‘s substance abuse.
After first confronting the 21-year-old about his drug problems in a hreat-breaking sit-down during The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City‘s Nov. 27 episode, the pastor finally confided in costar Angie Katsanevas about her personal family problems.
“He just told me blank, ‘Mom, I did drugs,'” Mary told her BFF during the Bravo series’ Dec. 11 episode. “He was like, ‘Yeah, I tried, this, I tried this, I’ve tried that.'”
She then revealed to Angie the list of narcotics that Robert Jr. had used included heroin, Xanax and acid and recounted him telling her, “And then I started trying other stuff and then I tried other stuff. And then at some point he said it almost became an addiction.”
“I said ‘not almost,'” Mary continued, “and he’s like ‘yeah. yeah, it’s addiction, mom.'”
But the tragic revelations didn’t stop there.
“He says, ‘Mom, at one point, I didn’t want to live,'” Mary recalled, “‘and you were the reason I stayed alive. At one point he was like, ‘Mom, I felt like a stain.'”
