Sarah Wynter couldn’t help but wonder how different her appearance on Sex and the City could have been.
After all, the actress—who appeared as the character Elizabeth in the HBO show’s pilot episode—was originally cast alongside one of late President John F. Kennedy‘s nephews to play out the series’ first-ever sex scene.
“I remember the person that they had cast to play the boyfriend was not the person that wound up getting the job on set,” Sarah explained during a Jan. 19 appearance on Kristin Davis‘ podcast Am I A Charlotte. “So, I was surprised when I got on set.”
As for which Kennedy she was expecting? The Goliath alum shared that she was initially set to star opposite Christopher Lawford, who was the son of English actor Peter Lawford and President Kennedy’s sister, Pat Kennedy Lawford.
“He was at the read-through,” Sarah continued. “And I remember thinking ‘That’s perfect.’ To have, like, this Kennedy—not Kennedy-esque, Kennedy.”
