The race for the Senate Presidency has begun. Senator Orji Uzor Kalu says it is his turn to occupy the position.
Kalu, who is the Chief Whip of the 9th National Assembly stated this while briefing newsmen in Abuja.
The Abia North lawmaker insists that he is the most qualified Senator by ranking to lead the 10th Assembly.
He appealed to the ruling All Progressives Congress to zone the coveted position to the South-East because it has the sole powers to do so.
Orji Uzor Kalu said that no democracy is perfect. He stressed the need to amend the 1999 Constitution to make room for electronic voting.
