The Senate, on Wednesday, confirmed the appointment of 21 nominees as federal commissioners to serve on the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).
President Bola Tinubu had appointed the nominees on August 7.
Among those confirmed on Wednesday were Prof. Olusegun Adekunle-Wright (Lagos); Dr. Nathaniel Adojutelegan (Ondo); Mr Amosun Akintayo (Ogun); and Mrs Linda Nkechi-Oti (Abia).
Others were Akpan Effiong (Akwa Ibom), Enefe Ekene (Anambra), Prof. Steve Ugba (Benue), Chief Eyonsa (Cross-River), Aruviere Egharhevwe (Delta), Nduka Awuregu (Ebonyi), Victor Eboigbe (Edo), Wumi Ogunlola (Ekiti), Ozo Obodougo (Enugu) and Kabir Mashi (Katsina).
Also confirmed were Adamu Fanda (Kano), Aliyu Abdulkadir (Nasarawa), Bako Shetima (Niger), Saad Ibrahim (Plateau), Modu-Aji Juluri (Yobe), Bello Garba (Zamfara) and Mohammed Usman (Gombe).
The nominees were earlier screened and recommended for confirmation by the Senate Joint Committee on National Planning/Economic Affairs and Finance.
