Selena Gomez Gives an Empowering Message to Women at Rare Impact Fund Benefit (Exclusive)
Selena Gomez is so sick of people getting that same old love.
That’s why the Only Murders in the Building star has made it her mission to provide those experiencing mental health struggles with better help through her Rare Impact Fund foundation—though she admitted she’s still in the beginning stages of accomplishing that goal.
“My dream is to have places where people who are thinking bad thoughts—I want them to go to a place and have the resources,” Selena exclusively told E! News on the red carpet at her Rare Impact Fund Benefit on Oct. 24. “So, I have big goals, big dreams and I’m just starting, and it feels like a good start.”
And the “Good For You” singer knows firsthand that it’s possible to overcome those challenges with a strong support system. After all, Selena—who has been open about being diagnosed with bipolar disorder and Lupus, a chronic autoimmune disease that causes the body’s immune system to attack healthy cells—has spent a lot of time working to improve her own mental and physical health.
