Ripple has donated $25 million to the Fairshake political action committee (PAC) to support pro-crypto candidates ahead of the 2026 U.S. midterm elections.
Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse announced the donation on Nov. 26 in an X post, talking about the company’s commitment to backing candidates who support policies that are “pro-crypto, pro-growth, and pro-innovation.”
This year alone, the company donated $45 million to Fairshake for the 2024 elections, making it one of the PAC’s top contributors, which also includes big companies like Coinbase, Jump Crypto, and Andreessen Horowitz who are actively supporting Fairshake’s mission to elect lawmakers who foster a positive environment for crypto growth.
Meanwhile, Fairshake made a big impact during the 2024 election cycle. The agency spent over $130 million on more than 50 congressional races. Correctly the PAC has about #103 million in its coffers for next year’s elections.
The PAC’s spending in the Ohio Senate race this year, where pro-crypto Bernie Moreno defeated anti-crypto incumbent Sherrod Brown, was one of its most high-profile contributions.
Garlinghouse praised Fairshake as the most successful bipartisan PAC in U.S. history, saying electing pro-crypto lawmakers is key to the industry’s future.
Ripple’s Chief Legal Officer, Stuart Alderoty, also commented on the company’s commitment to Fairshake, saying this is the third time Ripple has donated to Fairshake.
