The Spanish football association said Thursday that Real Madrid’s La Liga match against Valencia, which was postponed due to flooding, will now take place on January 2.
The match was postponed from its planned date of November 2nd because of the devastating flooding in the Valencia region, which caused millions of euros in damage and over 220 fatalities.
With a full schedule that includes Copa del Rey games in early January and a flight to Saudi Arabia for the Spanish Super Cup starting on January 8, the new date was the only choice available to the defending European champions Real Madrid.
