Marcus Rashford has called out “ridiculous” rumours that the uneasy Manchester United player wants to leave Old Trafford and find a new agent.
According to a story this week, Rashford, an England attacker, met with a top sports agency to try to arrange a move.
The 27-year-old made a suggestion last month that he may be ready to leave United.
Rashford claimed he was prepared “for a new challenge” after losing favour with new manager Ruben Amorim.
The United youth academy graduate, who has struggled badly over the last two seasons and only scored four goals in the Premier League this season, was left out of four consecutive matchday squads last month, beginning with the derby against Manchester City and ending up as an unutilised substitute for Monday’s loss to Newcastle.
Rashford, who is currently represented by his brother Dwaine Maynard, responded to the most recent rumours about his future by stating that he has not changed agents.
“Been a lot of false stories written over the past few weeks, but guys this is getting ridiculous – never met with any agency and don’t have any plans to…” he wrote on Instagram.
