Ikorodu City defeated Kano Pillars 4-1 to get back to winning ways.
Ikorodu City’s goals were scored by Shola Adelani, Austin Uzondu, Rabiu Ali, and Marvellous Freedom.
Kano Pillars’ consolation goal was scored by Abba Adam.
El-kanemi Warriors upset the reigning Rangers 2-1 in Maiduguri.
Isaac Saviour scored for Rangers, and Salihu Nasiru scored twice for the home team.
At the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo, Lobi Stars held former champions Akwa United to a 1-1 draw.
Lobi Stars took the lead at 27 minutes thanks to Onyekachi Okafor, and the hosts were tied at 18 minutes by Friday Apollos.
Sunshine Stars were crushed 4-1 by Bayelsa United at Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa.
Auwal Sadiq and Nneyi Ofem scored the other goals for the home team, while Ogba Ifeanyi scored two goals for Bayelsa United.
