The 2025 season of the Nigeria Women Football League, or NWFL, will resume hostilities today.
The inaugural game between the reigning champions, Edo Queens, and Abia Angels will take place at Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City.
The scheduled start time for the game is 6 p.m.
The other Group A games pit Ekiti Queens against Heartland Queens, while Nasarawa United will play Dannaz Ladies at Lafia City Stadium.
The Ayingba City Stadium will host the Confluence Queens and Remo Stars Ladies.
Former NWFL champions Rivers Angels and Ibom Angels will square off in the Group B games at Port Harcourt’s Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium.
The Pantami Township Stadium in Gombe will host the match between the Adamawa Queens and the Naija Ratels.
Bayelsa Queens will play Delta Queens at Samson Siasia Stadium in Yenagoa, while Benue Queens will play FC Robo Queens at Lafia City Stadium to start their top-flight campaign.
At the end of the season, the top three clubs in each group will play for the 2025 NWFL championship in the championship playoffs.
