Kate Middleton Makes Surprise Return to Royal Duties After Completing Chemotherapy
Prince William has a pleasant update on Kate Middleton’s progress.
Nearly two months after the Princess of Wales announced she had completed her chemotherapy treatment—about six months after sharing her cancer diagnosis—the Prince of Wales opened up about his wife’s wellbeing.
“She’s doing really well,” William, 42, told Sky News Nov. 6, while he was in South Africa to accept the Earthshot Prize. “Hopefully she’s watching tonight and cheering me on. She’s been amazing this whole year, and I know she’ll be really keen to see tonight be a success.”
Indeed, Kate, 42, proved she’s on the mend last month after making a public appearance alongside William to visit Southport, U.K. During the royal’s first public engagement since completing her chemotherapy, she and William coordinated maroon outfits—with Kate in a polka dot dress and William in a similar-colored sweater and gray suit jacket.
The couple’s excursion centered around paying respects to the families of Alice Dasilva Aguiar, 9, Elsie Dot Stancombe, 7, and Bebe King, 6, who were all fatally stabbed during a Taylor Swift-themed dance and yoga class in the seaside town.
