Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce are calling a flag on this rumor.
Following claims that NFL referees are rigging games in favor of the Kansas City Chiefs amid their 15-2 season—most recently two forcible contact hits refs made against the Houston Texans during the game on Jan. 18—the duo shared their thoughts on the controversy. And for Travis, that meant having brother Jason Kelce get him up to speed on everything—including Lil Wayne’s biting words for him.
“The whole world was talking about something else during the game, and I’m sure you saw some of this,” Jason began on the Jan. 22 episode of New Heights, “but they were complaining about the refs again, Trav.”
“Even Lil Wayne. Lil Wayne, ‘I hate the cheating azz Chiefs,’” the former Philadelphia Eagles center read. “So an ass with two z’s.”
Travis—whose girlfriend Taylor Swift was cheering him on during the Chiefs win over the Texans—took it all in stride, however, with a callback to the rapper noting, “Shout out to Tunechi , man.”
