Gor Mahia head coach Zedekiah Otieno expressed the importance of having all players available for the international friendly match against Kitara FC on January 2, 2025, at the Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Stadium in Siaya.
Speaking on the preparations, Otieno noted, “It’s important that all our players are available. The office is trying to liaise with the national office to see how we can have the players with us in Siaya on the 2nd.
“After that, they can travel to Zanzibar for the Mapinduzi Cup.”
This comes after four Gor Mahia players were included in the national squad traveling to Zanzibar for the Mapinduzi Cup. However, the players were spotted training with the team at Siaya Stadium earlier today, signaling that the federation may have granted the club permission to utilize them for the friendly before their departure.
