Victor Osimhen of the Super Eagles has revealed that it will be challenging for the defence to break up Mauro Icardi’s offensive connection.
As the squad defeated Elfsborg 4-3 in the UEFA Europa League, the Nigerian international made this statement.
In an interview with Fanatik, Osimhen stated that his collaboration with the Argentine forward excites him the most.
“We knew it would be difficult.
“The opponent was good in defense.
“We are happy that we won, though we had some scary moments. towards the end.
“I couldn’t score, but what matters is that the team got the win.
“I also want to congratulate the opponent—they fought well,” he said, as Fanatik reported.
“When we play together, no one can stand against us.
” It’s exciting to play with Icardi. He almost gave me an assist, and he’s a great player.
“Playing with him is extraordinary, and I think no defense will be able to stop us when we’re on the pitch together.”
