Meanwhile, the Ondo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has strongly criticized the recently signed 2025 state budget, calling it a “budget for looting.”
Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa signed the ₦698.6 billion budget into law just a week after its passage by the State House of Assembly.
Among the allocations, ₦200 million was designated for lawmakers, while ₦280 million was earmarked for “phone expenses” for the Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly.
Reacting to the budget on Tuesday, the PDP, through its Publicity Secretary, Kennedy Peretei, condemned these expenditures as excessive and unnecessary.
