Denis Omedi’s goal against KCCA in the Fufa Super 8 has earned double nomination with both CAF and FIFA recognizing it.
The Rabona goal is amongst the eleven goals nominated in the FIFA Puskas award and Goal of the Year in the CAF Awards for 2024. Only Omedi’s goal and Yassine Benzia wonder volley for Algeria against South Africa got both nominations for CAF and Puskas.
The winner will be announced during the glittering CAF Awards Gala, scheduled for Monday, 16 December 2024, in Marrakech, Morocco. This category stands out as the only CAF award with input from the sporting public, emphasizing the power of fans in determining the winner.
