Ole Gunnar Solskjær is back in the coaching world. After nearly two years without a managerial position following his departure from Manchester United in November 2021, the Norwegian has been officially appointed as the head coach of Besiktas.
The Turkish club announced the news on their social media platform X, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the 50-year-old tactician.
The task ahead is significant for Solskjær. Besiktas, currently sitting sixth in the Turkish Super Lig, has fallen behind their fierce rivals Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe, who occupy the top two spots.
The former Molde manager will aim to rejuvenate the 16-time Turkish champions, restoring their status as title contenders and solidifying their position among the country’s elite clubs.
