An old video of popular online personality VeryDarkMan has resurfaced online amid allegations that he stole ₦180 million contributed by the public to support his NGO.
The video has been making waves on the social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter.
However, his statement has been met with skepticism, with notable figures dismissing his claims.
He has since faced accusations of theft and fraud from singer Portable and online personality Oba Solomon, respectively.
Amid the controversy, an old clip of VeryDarkMan defending his integrity has emerged. In the video, he passionately asserts that he is not a thief but a man of principle.
He said, in part: “In this country, I’ll show you all who I am. I’m a man of integrity; my mother didn’t raise a thief. My mother didn’t raise me to take advantage of people. I am not like that.”
VeryDarkMan emphasized that money does not sway him, adding that he has reached a level in life where his principles cannot be compromised.
