Tottenham Hotspur have officially secured the signing of Austrian defender Kevin Danso from RC Lens in a €25 million package deal. The highly-rated center-back has signed a contract with Spurs until June 2030, solidifying Ange Postecoglou’s defensive options for the long term.
Danso was on the verge of joining Wolverhampton Wanderers before Spurs swooped in at the last moment to hijack the deal. Wolves had been in advanced negotiations, but Tottenham’s swift intervention, coupled with a more attractive project and European ambitions, convinced the player to make the switch to North London instead.
