Natalie “Nadya” Suleman is happily single—and not ready to mingle.
The mother of 14, who became known as “Octomom” after successfully giving birth to the first-ever set of octuplets in 2009, shared an update on what her dating life looks like nowadays—and it sounds like not much has changed since she entered the spotlight.
“If I never dated before I had any kids,” she told People in an interview published Jan. 29, “why would I start now?”
While the 49-year-old isn’t currently looking for love, she was previously married to Marcos Gutierrez from 1996 to 2008. However, the two had been separated since 2000, with Marcos telling Inside Edition in 2009 that he was not the father of any of Nadya’s children, according to People.
Aside from raising more than a dozen children on her own—including 16-year-old octuplets Noah, Josiah, Nariyah, Maliyah, Jonah, Jeremiah, Isaiah and Makai—Nadya has been busy working on two upcoming projects for Lifetime: the made-for-TV movie I Was Octomom: The Natalie Suleman Story and the six-part docuseries Confessions of Octomom.
