The technical director of Nasarawa United, Kabiru Dogo, has maintained confidence in spite of his team’s disappointing 1-1 home match with Rivers United.
Nasarawa United took the lead early in the match thanks to a goal from John Joshua, and Rivers United equalised five minutes later through a penalty kick from Kabir Abdullahi.
Dogo claimed that despite creating opportunities during the game, his men were unable to convert.
“We are disappointed with the draw, but we will take the point and move on,” Dogo told Nasarawa United’s media.
“We created enough chances to win the game today, but sometimes, it just doesn’t go your way.
“My wards gave their all in this game, and you can attest to this fact and many other things that happened in the game.”
