Former Super Eagles forward Brown Ideye is delighted to have made his debut for Enyimba, DAILY POST reports.
Ideye made a substitute appearance in Enyimba’s 0-0 home draw against Bendel Insurance on Tuesday.
The 36-year-old replaced Ifeanyi Ihemekwele 11 minutes from time.
“I feel good. I was expecting to come on earlier, but the coach knows best. So far, I’m feeling great,” the forward said during his interaction with the media after the game.
The former African champions extended their winless streak to 10 games following the stalemate.
Ideye highlighted what the club must do to return to winning ways.
“For me, I think we still have a lot to learn. The league is still young. This is just the end of the first round. We still have the second round to play,” he said.
“We need to work together as a team, correct the mistakes that make it difficult for us to win, and be more clinical in front of goal. We’ll strive to deliver good results in every match.”
