Following the directives of president Muhammad Buhari, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has distributed food items to over 650 IDPs in Adamawa state.
Ladan Ayuba ,Head of Operations in charge of Adamawa and Taraba states, who conducted the distribution urged the over 650 households to make good use of the items.
Ladan said the food supply is part of the monthly support which NEMA usually asist the affected displaced persons of different crisis which occured in the State
He urged the IDPs to be law abiding citizens and try to devise other means of becoming self-reliant especially farming activities to reduce hardship.
According to him, the items were meant to cushion the suffering of the IDPs and he further reiterates the agency’s commitment towards sustaining the monthly distribution of relief materials to the IDPs in the camps.
