NEC lock horns with record champions SC Villa at Lugogo with eyes on the summit. The fixture is reminiscent of last season’s final game that handed Villa their 17th title after they won 2-0 thanks to Hakim Kiwanuka and Charles Lwanga strikes.
NEC are yet to taste victory over the Jogoos in two league meetings and have not even scored a goal after they lost the Wankulukuku 3-0 as well.
Second placed NEC will move above table leaders Vipers with a win while Villa will replace Express in 4th position if they pick their first away victory of the season. Before the Lugogo game, all roads lead to Prisons Grounds, Luzira where Maroons host Bul.
The hosts are on a two-win match winning streak after they overcome URA and Soltilo Bright Stars while Bul are unbeaten in the last five matches although the most recent two ended in stalemates.
Maroons are currently 9th on the table with 12 points but will climb into the top five with maximum points while Bul on 13 points can move into the top four.
