Wilfred Ndidi provided an assist in struggling Leicester City’s 4-2 loss to Arsenal in the Premier Leagu.

Ndidi now has four assists in six appearances in the English topflight this season and has equaled his best tally for Leicester in 2020/21.

The defeat means Leicester are yet to record a win in six Premier League game so far.

Arsenal raced to a 2-0 first half lead thanks to goals from Gabriel Martinelli (20th min) and Leandro Trossard (45+1 min).

Martinelli slotted home a low cross from Julien Timber before provided an assist of his own for Trossard to guide home.

Three minutes into the second half, James Justin’s header from a free kick struck Kai Havertz and beat David Raya to give Leicester a goal back.

Justin finished the comeback in the 63rd minute by volleying in Ndidi’s left-wing cross.

Following a corner kick by Bukayo Saka, Trossard’s goal put Arsenal ahead 3-2 in the 94th minute as it struck Ndidi and bounced into the goal.

The German then had a fortunate rebound in the 99th minute after a Leicester defender attempted to clear the ball off of him.

With 14 points, Arsenal and Manchester City are tied for second position, although their goals differential is greater.

Leicester now sits in 16th place in the league table with three points following the loss.
