Navy impounds 3 wooden boats laden with stolen crude oil, arrest suspeects

Operatives of the Nigerian Navy’s Operation Delta Sanity have intercepted and impounded three wooden boats laden with large amounts of stolen crude oil.

This was disclosed in a statement on its verified Facebook page on Sunday.

The statement reads: “Operation DELTA SANITY: On Friday, 8 November 2024, Forward Operating Base FORMOSO intercepted and impounded three wooden boats laden with large amounts of stolen crude oil and illegally refined AGO in Igbomotoro, Southern Ijaw LGA, Bayelsa State.

“Consequently, two female suspects were apprehended in the process and have been handed over to the Nigeria Security & Civil Defence Corps.”
