Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has praised Thomas Partey for his performance in the win over Sporting CP on Tuesday.
The Gunners cruised to a 5-1 victory over the Portuguese side at the Estadio José Alvalade, thanks to an excellent performance from the Ghanaian midfielder.
After Arsenal’s resounding victory, Arteta praised the 30-year-old’s consistency and influence on the pitch, highlighting his ability to control the game.
“It was one of the best performances I’ve seen from him, especially the way he dominated the game,” he said. “This year he’s been very consistent because he always has a role to play, it’s very important, he’s a huge player for us,” he added.
Thomas Partey has so far played 18 times for Arsenal in all competitions this season and will be hoping to continue his impressive form with the Gunners taking on West Ham United at the Olympic Stadium in London on Saturday.
