Manchester City have expressed interest in AIK Freetong’s rising star Juma Bah, currently on loan at Real Valladolid, according to a source close to Global Soccer Management, the agency representing the player. The Premier League giants are monitoring the 18-year-old centre-back’s contractual situation, signaling a potential move in the near future.
“The fact Man City have been asking about his contractual situation with AIK indicates they have strong interest. They haven’t sent an offer yet, but made contact a fortnight ago, and for us, that’s huge for Juma,” the source revealed.
AIK Freetong, however, have placed a substantial price tag of €14 million on the young defender. The Sierra Leonean talent has been impressing during his stint in La Liga, attracting attention from several top European clubs.
Bah’s performances for Valladolid have solidified his reputation as one of the most promising young defenders in Europe. His composure on the ball, aerial ability, and defensive awareness have not gone unnoticed, and City’s interest could potentially spark a bidding war.
While an official bid has yet to materialize, AIK Freetong are standing firm on their valuation, underlining the high regard in which they hold Bah. If the English champions proceed with an offer, it could mark a significant step in the teenager’s growing career.
For now, Bah remains focused on his development in Spain, but with Manchester City’s scouts keeping close tabs, his future could hold a move to the Etihad in the not-so-distant future.
