The Niger Tornadoes’ tight victory over Akwa United was not an easy accomplishment, according to Majin Mohammed, their technical adviser.
The home team won thanks to a goal from Papa Daniel.
Mohammed commended their opponent for playing the game with vigour.
“It was not easy,” Mohammed stated in a post-match interview.
“Knowing well that Akwa United is at the bottom of the table, and most times teams in such positions are always difficult to beat, because while we are struggling to go up, they are equally struggling to come up.”
With 17 points after the victory, the Niger Tornadoes rose to fourth place in the log.
