Mika Lonnstrom, a Finnish tactician, was introduced as the new head coach of Lobi Stars on Tuesday during a brief ceremony held in the McCarthy Stadium’s indoor hall.
Lonnstrom will work with technical adviser Daniel Amokachi, and Lobi Stars chairman Philip Nongu expressed great optimism about the appointment of the new tactician.
“We’re delighted to have Coach Lönnström on board. His expertise and passion will undoubtedly elevate our team’s performance,” Nongu stated during the unveiling ceremony.
“We are here at this important event to introduce to the Benue community, the players, as well as sports journalists, the newly appointed head coach, Mr Lönnström who will be working together with the other technical crew members with the needed intent of moving the club out of current position as well as making it more competitive.”

Lönnström oversaw the Lobi Stars’ practice session in advance of their upcoming matchup with the Abia Warriors.
