The Department for Combating Illegal Migration (DCIM) in Libya has deported 13 migrants, including seven Nigerians, three Bangladeshis, and three Ghanaians, for violating Libyan laws.

The deportees, who were detained at the Qanfoudah Immigration Detention Centre, were flown out of Libya through Benina International Airport in Benghazi.

The deportation was confirmed by Migrant Rescue Watch, an organization monitoring migration issues in Libya, via their official X account on Tuesday.

Their statement pointed out that the deported individuals were returned to their home countries due to violations of Libyan law.

“DCIM deported 13 migrants (3 Bangladeshis, 3 Ghanaians, and 7 Nigerians) from the Qanfoudah Immigration Detention Centre via Benina International Airport in Benghazi.

“All individuals were deported for violating laws in force in the Libyan state,” the statement read.
