The Apatow family has some euphoric news.
Leslie Mann is officially set to star in the directorial debut of her and husband Judd Apatow‘s eldest daughter Maude Apatow.
The film—called Poetic License and written by Raffi Donatich—will be produced by Apatow Productions, Levantine Films and the Euphoria star’s production company Jewelbox Pictures, which she recently found with longtime friend and collaborator Olivia Rosenbloom.
But those aren’t the only details that have been revealed about the forthcoming movie, which follows former therapist and soon-to-be empty nester Liz as she drives an unexpected wrench into the friendship between two college seniors who begin competing for her affection. No Hard Feelings star Andrew Barth Feldman, Licorice Pizza actor Cooper Hoffman and The Last of Us‘ Nico Parker will also act alongside Leslie in the flick.
And Maude, 26, is certainly thrilled to step into her role as director. Sharing a screenshot of an article announcing the project, the King of Staten Island actress wrote in an Oct. 23 Instagram post, “Could not be more excited to bring this story to life with this DREAM cast.”
