Popular Nigerian activist and politician, Omoyele Sowore has revealed plans by the Nigeria Police to arraign him in a Federal High Court, Abuja on Wednesday.
DAILY POST reports that Sowore, who was invited by the Force on Monday for questioning over some allegations against him, rejected his bail condition and opted to remain in custody.
In an update shared on his Facebook page on Tuesday, the activist, who earlier alleged that the Nigeria Police was planning to fly him to Lagos State, said the plans have changed.
He is expected to appear before Justice Liman of the Federal High Court in Abuja by 9 am on Wednesday.
According to Sowore, the Lagos Police rejected the move after the plan got leaked on Monday night.
Sowore wrote, “The Nigeria Police Force has dropped its initial plan to fly Sowore to Lagos for a kangaroo trial, following the leak of the plan.
“Lagos people say they don’t want trouble. Egbetokun has a Federal Court judge to hear the case in Abuja tomorrow!
