Kwara state government in partnership with a private organization, Kwara Build Technical Care (#KBTC24), has concluded arrangements to train about 1,500 youths in the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and entrepreneurship.
Speaking with journalists in Ilorin on Tuesday, chief operating officer of the organization, Mr. Kamaldeen Kehinde, said that the three-day tech workshop would afford participants a wide range of tech trends, innovative solutions, and business strategies aimed at empowering attendees to elevate their tech careers and businesses.
Mr. Kehinde also said that the event would offer a networking opportunity for budding entrepreneurs and established business leaders to connect, share experiences and collaborate on projects.
According to the Chief Operating Officer, the two-day training scheduled for November 21-23, 2024, is aimed at improving the participants’ skills as well as find solutions to the nation’s lingering crises in digital and technical sectors.
Kamaldeen, who lamented that Nigeria is blessed with innovative and vibrant youths, added that they would be redeemed in the trainings to be conducted by foreign and local experts.
Themed: “Future Forward: Addressing Local and Global Challenges through collaborative Innovation”, Kamaldeen said the event would address the growing need for tech-driven solutions to complex challenges.
“#KBTC24 will serve as a platform for innovators, start-ups, and thought leaders to exchange ideas, build partnerships and inspire future tech innovations within Kwara and beyond,” he stated, adding that the seminar would further teach the participants on how to use AI to enhace businesses and skills.
Saying the two-day workshop/seminar will be preceded with a conference, the COO added that a renowned African technical ecosystem leader and investor, Musty Mustapha, among others would deliver keynote address.
He, however, announced that the event will end with an awards night, recognizing outstanding contributions to the innovation ecosystem.
“The night will celebrate individuals and organisations that have made significant strides in technology and entrepreneurship”, he said.
