KRC Genk, a Belgian Pro League team, has decided not to sell Tolu Arokodare during the January transfer window.
This season, Arokodare has drawn attention with his outstanding performances for the Smurfs.
The league leaders have seen 13 goals and five assists from the Nigerian.
Clubs from Europe’s major leagues are anticipated to show interest in the 24-year-old.
But according to Genk chairman Peter Croonen, the striker won’t be permitted to leave the team anytime soon.
“It is absolutely the intention to keep him. And that will happen,” Croonen told DAZN.
