Randal Kolo Muani, a forward from France, was signed by Juventus on loan from Paris Saint-Germain on Thursday in an attempt to get more playing time outside of the French city.
In order to formalise the agreement, the two clubs issued statements. Kolo Muani will remain in Turin until June 30.
Due to PSG having previously used up all of the players they could loan to other teams at the same time, the trade had been delayed.
However, the news that Kolo Muani’s loan agreement was finalised comes after reports in France on Wednesday that Juan Bernat, the Spanish defender for PSG, had cancelled his contract with the team and made a loan move to Villarreal permanent.
Despite making just two starts for PSG in the first half of the season, 26-year-old Kolo Muani has maintained his status as a regular for the French national side.
He has only played 78 minutes since the beginning of November and has only scored two goals for the French champions since the season started.
Kolo Muani scored nine goals in 40 games during his first season in Paris after joining from Eintracht Frankfurt in an estimated 90 million euro ($93.7 million) transfer at the beginning of the previous campaign.
His transfer to Turin will strengthen Juventus’ injured attacking line.
Having been forced to play without a renowned striker in previous games, Thiago Motta’s team lacked bite in Tuesday’s Champions League 0-0 draw with Club Brugge.
Juventus, who are now fifth in Serie A, will visit Napoli, the leaders, on Saturday.
Pierre Kalulu, a fellow Frenchman, and Khephren Thuram, the son of World Cup and European Championship champion Lilian, who won two league titles at Juventus, will welcome Kolo Muani to the team.
