The Senator representing Jigawa northwest zone, Senator Babangida Hussaini donated the sum of N10 million to the victims of recent Jigawa tragic fire incident that so far claimed over 170 people.
The Senator announced the personal donation when he paid condolence and sympathy visit to the families and relatives of the deceased and the injured people at Majia village the scene of the accident.
Alhaji Babangida Hussaini expressed his deep condolences and sympathized with the bereaved families, offering prayers for those who lost their lives in the disaster.
According to him, “This devastating incident has left an unimaginable impact on the community, and my thoughts and prayers are with the bereaved families during this difficult time”.
“In addition to offering my condolences, I have donated ₦10 million to support the surviving victims who are currently receiving medical care in various hospitals across the state,” he stated.
The senator also called on relevant government agencies and organisations to provide necessary relief and support to the affected families. He urged the public to remain vigilant and avoid hazardous practices during emergencies.
“We must continue to stand together as a community and ensure that the families affected by this tragic incident receive all the care and assistance they need,” he added.
