Jeff Baena received heartfelt tributes from his colleagues in Hollywood following his death.
Following news of that the director, husband of Aubrey Plaza, had died by suicide at 47 Jan. 3, Molly Shannon and more actors who worked with him paid homage on social media.
The Saturday Night Live alum, who starred in four out of the five movies Baena directed—his 2014 directorial debut Life After Beth, The Little Hours, Horse Girl and Spin Me Around, shared several pics of herself with him and other cast members, including Plaza, on and off the set of their films. Shannon captioned her Jan. 4 Instagram post with a broken heart emoji.
Her Life After Beth costar Dane DeHaan also paid tribute to Baena, sharing a post about news of his death on his Instagram Stories.
Alison Brie, who starred in several of the director’s films, posted several pics of herself with him on her own Instagram Stories, adding a broken heart emoji and a link to a tribute post from Adam Pally, who appeared with her in The Little Hours and Baena’s 2016 film Joshy and also had a role in Life After Beth.
