Former Military Head of State, Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida, IBB, has reaffirmed his belief in Nigeria’s unity.
Babangida spoke while hosting a political movement, The Nigerian Project at his Hilltop mansion in Minna, Niger State.
He stressed that a divided nation cannot stand, hence the need for unity and prosperity.
Babangida urged Nigerians to remain loyal to the country and its leadership while advocating for inclusive governance where citizens’ voices are heard, ideas debated, and policies implemented for national progress.
He said: “I believe in one Nigeria, and on its unity, I stand. Thank you for following my footsteps and upholding the ideals of patriotism and national unity, which we all fought for.”
He urged Nigerians to remain loyal to the country and its leadership, advocating for inclusive governance where citizens’ voices are heard, ideas debated, and policies implemented for national progress.
Earlier, the leader of the delegation and National Convener of The Nigerian Project, Ochiagha Reagan Ufomba, described TNP as Nigeria’s fastest-growing political organisation, with structures across all 36 states, the FCT, and all 774 Local Government Areas and wards.
He said the organisation is committed to reviving the ideals, philosophies and doctrines that once made Nigeria great, fostering national discourse, ensuring inclusivity, and breaking barriers to intellectual and economic empowerment.
