Similar to the Chiefs, this year will mark the sixth time the Eagles have made it to the Super Bowl. Their face off against the Chiefs in 2023 was historic itself, as Travis and his now-retired brother Jason Kelce—who served as the Eagles’ center—became the first siblings to play against one another. The tight end took home the victory, and he later described the win as a “weird feeling.”
“There’s nothing you can really say to a loved one in a situation like that,” Travis said during a postgame interview in February 2023, wiping away his tears. “You know, you joke around all the time and say you want to beat your brother in the biggest stage ever, but it’s a weird feeling. That team had great leadership, great coaches. Obviously, it came down to the end and we got all the respect in the world for those Eagles, man.”
