Heavily beaten at the Etihad Stadium by Tottenham (0-4), Manchester City is going through an unprecedented period, on a series of five consecutive defeats, for the first time in Pep Guardiola’s career.
Obviously, before hosting Feyenoord in the Champions League, this state of form is a subject of debate within a team that has never had to face this kind of situation. But for the Catalan coach, there is no reason to worry.
“What should I change? If I changed from the first season, we would not win six Premier League titles in eight years, it’s impossible. Now, I’m not going to change our way of doing things… in life, nothing is eternal,” he explained, referring in particular to the long injuries of Rodri, Dias, Akanji, Stones and Walker.
“I have the feeling that we will do very, very good things this season. I don’t give up, I have the feeling that we will be there. I know that when we lose, everything is called into question. It’s our business. We have to win matches,” he added.
