Female journos hail US embassy for training

Stakeholders in the media have been talking about the three day training for women journalists in Taraba State powered by the United States Embassy to Nigeria.

The training is on investigative reporting, digital media, leadership and gender-sensitive reporting.

The training which was in collaboration with Organization for Innovation and Sustainable Development is to promote Equal Opportunities for Women in Media with focus on the northeast region of Nigeria.

The training is organised by the United State Embassy in Nigeria in collaboration with Organization for Innovation and Sustainable Development across the six states of the northeast.

The resource persons said the training will encourage practicing women to actively participate in their chosen career.

Over 150 female journalists in the six states of the northeast region were targeted by the United States Embassy to Nigeria, to be trained on Gender equality in the journalism profession.
