Perfume is a substance that emits and diffuses a pleasant and fragrant odour. They consist of man-made mixtures of aromatic chemicals and essential oils. Leopold Ruzicka who won the 1939 Nobel Prize for Chemistry made a significant discovery which determined that perfumes would stand the test of time and are here to stay.
In 1945, he stated that ‘’right from the earliest days of scientific chemistry up to the present time, perfumes have substantially contributed to the development of organic chemistry as regards methods, classification and theory”.
The world’s first chemist and perfume maker was a woman named Tapputi.
One other beautiful thing about perfumes is that the same scent can smell differently on two separate people. This is because perfume can mix with your skin making you smell unique.
There are some perfumes that are meant for females alone while others are more centric to the male gender. Just as well, we have others which are unis3x and would smell great on either.
The use of perfumes speaks a lot about a person and makes the person exuberate a lot more confidence in his approach to other people. This makes the use of perfumes necessary for people when going out to meet others be it for interviews, festivals or even just an outing with friends.
Benefits of wearing perfume:
.Mood Enhancement: The power of scent to influence our mood is remarkable.
.Stress reduction.
.Memory evocation.
.Personal expression.
.Social interaction.
