Arsenal legend, Thierry Henry, believes it will be ‘extremely difficult’ for the Gunners to win the Premier League title this season following their recent back-to-back defeats.
Arsenal recently lost to Newcastle United in the Premier League last weekend.
Mikel Arteta’s side were also beaten 1-0 by Inter Milan in the Champions League at San Siro on Wednesday.
However, Henry feels Arsenal’s hopes of winning the Premier League title will be all but over if they lose to Chelsea on Sunday.
Asked if Arsenal are Premier League title challengers after their Champions League defeat to Inter Milan, Henry said on CBS Sports: “Right now they are not; they are not challenging for the league; obviously, as you can see, the results are not good enough to be able to be at the top, still a long way to go.
“That is what I’m saying; let’s see what is going to happen against Chelsea.”
Also, when asked if Arsenal will be out of the Premier League title race if they lose to Chelsea, Henry added, “I think it will be extremely difficult.”
“Why? Because you have too many teams to catch. One team can have a problem, but one or two – we’re going with Liverpool and Manchester City—I don’t see two teams collapsing; that is my issue.”
