Enyimba has confirmed the signing of Brown Ideye, a former striker for the Super Eagles.
Ideye had previously trained with Rivers United, but the Port Harcourt team did not extend a contract offer to him.
The nine-time Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) champions will now play the striker for the rest of the season after he began training with them last month.
The striker was introduced by the People’s Elephant in Aba on Monday.
“We are delighted to officially announce the addition of former Super Eagles Striker, Brown Ideye to our fold,” the Aba giants announce on their official website on Monday.
“We are expectant of the experience and professionalism he will add to our game and quest in our remaining games this season, especially under the New Gaffer.”
After playing with the now-defunct Ocean Boys during the 2006–07 season, the former striker for Dynamo Kiev and West Bromwich Albion is returning to the NPFL.
The 36-year-old most recently played for Al-Yarmouk, a Kuwaiti club.
