Enyimba overcame a 2-0 deficit to draw 2- 2 with Zamalek of Egypt in Sunday night’s CAF Confederation Cup Group D match at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.
Three minutes after the break, Seifeddine Jaziri gave Zamalek the lead.
Omar Faraj gave the reigning champs a two-goal advantage four minutes prior to halftime.
Ifeanyi Ihemekwele of Enyimba gave the home team a goal in stoppage time of the first half, and Ufere Chinedu equalised in the 57th minute.
Despite having additional opportunities to win the game, the People’s Elephant were disappointed by their subpar performance.
