Liverpool FC, currently owned by Fenway Sports Group (FSG), has once again been linked with a potential sale. Errol Musk, the father of billionaire entrepreneur Elon Musk, revealed in an interview with Times Radio that his son is interested in owning the iconic Merseyside club.
However, he stopped short of confirming any immediate plans to purchase the team.
“I can’t comment on that, otherwise they’ll raise the price!” Errol Musk joked. “Oh yes, he expressed his desire, but that doesn’t mean he’s going to buy it. He would like to, yes, of course. Everyone would, me too.”
Musk’s father highlighted the family’s ties to Liverpool, mentioning that Elon’s grandmother was born in the city and that their family even had connections to members of The Beatles.
While the remarks fuel speculation, it remains to be seen whether this interest will develop into a formal bid for the club.
